Hello, my name is Shorena Esartia. I am an elected VP of External Communications for 2018/2019 years. Originally, I am from Georgia, Eastern Europe. It is my second year in Canada and currently, I am studying at a Business Administration Diploma program. From back home I have a bachelor’s degree in International Relations. I have been living and studying in different countries, including United States, Moldova, Russia, and Georgia. My life experience has made me value such things as diversity, multiculturalism, and respect for the freedom of choice. I love traveling and meeting new people. I speak four foreign languages and I always try to communicate with people in their own tongue.
While studying in BVC I had an excellent opportunity to get elected as a Council for a SABVC and represent the students at the college level. This positive experience gave me an incentive to run further for a position of VP of External Communications. The main duties of this position are to advocate for BVC students on the internal level, communicate regularly with all levels of government organizations and represent Bow Valley College at provincial and national student conferences.
The mission of SABVC is to provide effective representation and a positive campus experience to all BVC learners, therefore it is important to be authentic and consistent with these ideals. Together with a newly elected SABVC executive team, we will do our best to effectively represent all the BVC learners both at the college level and externally!
